RESIDENCY PROGRAMS & GUIDED RETREATS

Residencies at TLC embrace artists in the visual, literary and performing arts including playwriting, poetry, prose writing, painting, photography, music composition, and dance. We provide space and time for artists to experience community, nature, play and rejuvenation - all in support of their delving into their creative lives and work.

INDIVIDUAL ARTIST & ORGANIZATIONAL RESIDENCIES

TLC offers both partially and fully subsidized residencies for individual artists, small creative teams, and groups or organizations looking for space and time to connect, create, and reflect together in community and in nature.

parent artist & bipoc artist residencies

These residencies provide safe space and access for artists from many different disciplines, backgrounds, circumstances and stages of career to be in creative community with other artists.

“A lot of people struggle in their life to find peace and quiet. So many people who come through here are from urban areas, and they appreciate this opportunity to renew their spirit.”

— Sarah Hansen, TLC Yoga Instructor

GUIDED RETREATS

These retreats can be organized around any creative discipline and have included mosaic instruction, visual art and photography, artistic interaction with nature, installation art, and Forest Bathing. Contact us if you are interested in leading a retreat week.

“I DIDN’t feel pressured to participate with everyone in residence and because of that I felt drawn to connect with other people.”

— Stacey Rose, playwright

“It's all gorgeous. You get swept away. Feel isolated. And motivated. And grounded to pursue the work — whether at a desk, on your feet, or with a paddle.”

— Andrew Rosendorf, theater artist & writer
