Your donation to Tofte Lake Center’s operating budget or the Birch Fund helps TLC provide time and space for artists to create in a supportive community. SUPPORT THE BIRCH FUND
Former long-serving Tofte Lake Center board member, textile artist, and nature lover, Bernadette Christiansen created The Birch Fund, an endowed scholarship fund, as part of her legacy to TLC. She was foundational to TLC’s establishment and growth, and with her gift, she has ensured that her contribution will continue. Your support of this fund subsidizes artist residencies and will keep Bernadette’s legacy alive.

It takes hard work, huge commitment, and a lot of TLC to run an artist residency. Your donation to our operating budget supports our staff, programming, and ability to host and fund our residencies. Help us subsidize an artist, provide food for our welcome dinner, snacks for our Dock o’ Clocks, art supplies, firewood for the sauna, and so much more! Find which formal or informal way to engage with us: our bi-annual Adopt-a-Highway clean-up, internship opportunities, providing rides or additional housing for visiting artists, cooking yummy meals, providing snacks for events…and anything else!
